Can vitamins and supplements help me stay fit and healthy?

Over the counter drugs, vitamins and supplement are HARMFUL for your health. Please just google it and see what comes up.

Most prescriptions drugs, artificial sweeteners and synthetic vitamins and mineral supplement are bombshells in your stomach (as they are highly acid-forming). As the body digest those foreign foods, it becomes increasingly acidic. An acidic body can lead to a wide range of health problems, including obesity and serious disease.

For instance, if the body is consistently fed acid-forming, denaturatefd foods and suplements, it will disturb the blood pH. as a safety measure, your body will pull calcium from the bones to re-balance the pH and over time the bones will weaken. The most usual way of treating low calcium levels is to "take" more calcium, usually in the form of supplements. The calcium in tablets is usually derived from OYSTER SHELLS, BOVINE BONE MEAL, CORAL OR DOLOMITE (a stone), all of which are extremelly hard and unatural for the body to assimilate - they are NOT FOOD and your body cannot digest them.

One of the world's most profitable industry is based on processed and addictive substances commonly called legal or illegal drugs (also to be found in processed food such as cereals, cookies, salty snacks, dairy products, fast food - to name a few).

Drugs and supplements will not provide you with a fit and healthy body but something as basic and natural as nutrition will. Most of us don't want to believe that superior nutrition is the key to good health because life has become too convenient. FYI: anything processed is a 'fast food' it does not only count for Mc donalds's hanburgers and fries. If you are not sure, ask yourself "did nature create this food or was it a product of man?
The easy access to 'fast' food and 'fast' fixes allows us to feel safe and satisfied, but nothing is further from the truth. For that, rely instead on nature's best gifts.

  1. I agree that taking any "supplement" just to take it is not necessarily good for you.It is always important to identify who made the product, the quality of the product, and to know the purpose of taking it. It is also very important to discuss what you are taking, whether it is an over the counter medication/supplement or an herbal/home remedy that has been recommended to you with your healthcare provider. Together, you can discuss if there is a conflict in your taking the supplements with your health needs and/or status as well as any effects it may have on the presciption medications you may also be taking. There are a number of medical conditions such as Thyroid disorders or renal disease when supplements (high quality) are needed for you to maintain your electrolyte balance. In fact, not taking the recommended supplements such as calcium if your adrenal glands have been removed or damaged can result in a severe deprivation of calcium in your system which could cause a condition known as tetani which may, in fact cause your heart to stop. Similarily people who choose not take supplements such as potassium that are ordered for them from their primary care provider have often suffered massive heart attacks due to cardiac arrthymias. The point is, is that it is important that you discuss your health care with your health care provider, ask them why you are being ordered certain medications rand/or supplements that they have ordered for you and also to tell them honestly what you are taking that is not currently on your medication list. Together, you can develop a plan that is best for you to meet your health goals and philosophies without risking your overall health objectives.

  2. Any so called disease can be prevented, diminished and even cured with the right nutritional program. Drugs and supplements can never treat the problem but can temporarily ease the symptoms. (why take a processed calcium tablet which will cause side-effects if you can find the equivalent amount of calcium in a plate of spinach?).REMINDER: Calcium tablets are made of stones, bones or oyster shells. Those are NOT foods and cannot be digested.
A nutritious, generous, nourishing diet and regular exercise is the only preventing solution for people seeking for optimum health. Expect your body will thank you, not your doctor!
